BLACK HISTORY MONTH

At IDEO.org I was part of an initiative to provide safe spaces and opportunities for individuals to share their cultural experiences and stories. I wanted to achieve this by embedding more diverse representations in our new office space, to encourage more nuanced conversations and expressions of equity and inclusion. I created bathroom stall posters that celebrated the achievement of a lesser-known black female inventor, whose rejected invention continued to influence the way women’s sanitary products are made today.
